Stagecoach welcomes new Head of Safety

  • Peter Jenkins joins Stagecoach from Monday 6 February 
  • An award-winning safety professional, Peter joins from Dalziel Ingredients 

Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach company, has announced the appointment of Peter Jenkins as its new Head of Safety.  

An award-winning safety professional, Peter has a wealth of experience across public sector services, hospitality, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and logistics/distribution. He joins Stagecoach today from Dalziel, where he has been Group Health and Safety Manager.  

Peter will work alongside Sharon Vye-Parminter, Group Health, Safety and Environment Director to lead the safety strategy for the business. 

On joining the company, Peter said: “With almost a decade of experience leading safety across different sectors, including public sector and logistics, my focus is to champion a ‘people-first’ strategy that empowers people to make good decisions. 

“Public transport plays a huge role in people’s everyday lives, and I am pleased to be joining a business that has such an important role in society.”  

Sharon Vye-Parminter, Group Health, Safety and Environment Director for Stagecoach, said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the team and his extensive knowledge and experience in safety will be a huge asset to our business.
